Tips for Preserving Your Abayas, Jilbabs, Robes, Khimars
  • Use only the minimal amount of detergent needed to prevent the fabric color from fading over time.
  • For dark colored fabrics, it is preferred to use a detergent that is specially designed for dark colored fabrics.
  • Zip up all zippers and secure any snaps before washing your abaya, and don’t forget to check those pockets for any forgotten items!
  • If your abaya is only soiled in only one spot, spot wash instead of washing the whole garment.
  • If you are machine washing on a delicate cycle, wash with other abayas or separately.
  • Hang your abayas on a clothes hanger to dry which will minimize wrinkles.
Tips for Preserving Your Hijabs, Niqabs, Chiffon Tops
  • Use only the minimal amount of detergent needed to prevent the fabric colour from fading over time.
  • For dark colored fabrics, it is preferred to use a detergent that is specially designed for dark colored fabrics.
  • If you are machine washing on a delicate cycle, wash with other hijabs or niqabs of the same/similar fabric and weight.
  • Our chiffon hijabs and niqabs are made with a lightweight and delicate fabric so they should always be ironed on a low setting, never on a high setting which could burn the fabric.
